Buglers Jari Villanueva, John Schmitt and Dave Galpern performed with the Virginia Grand Military Band under the direction of Loras Schissel on Saturday March 3, 2018

The three buglers sounded the division calls of the Royal Marines (Plymouth, Portsmouth and Chatham) in two marches by Kenneth Alford: “By Land and Sea” and “H.M. Jollies.” They also sounded the “Last Post” in a wonderful setting for concert band, using the hymn tune of “Lead Kindly Light.”

For the performance, the trio used Kanstul Bb regulation bugles.

Kanstul is donating a special commemorative Bb regulation bugle to be used for the summer-long One Hundred Nights of Taps, Gettysburg 2018.
