FASO Gala herald trumpet donation becomes part of the night’s festivities

It was a wonderful gala evening in honor of the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra (FASO) with Kanstul’s beautiful instruments taking center stage. The gala was held at the Hancock Park, Los Angeles estate of Edwin & Lani Raquel (formerly the Mary Pickford estate) which has been featured in such movies as The Artist, Taken 2 and many TV shows. The theme of the gala was “A Night of Symphony,” and it truly lived up to that name. With members of the FASO symphony providing a wonderful concert of music throughout the evening and accompanying some very famous Filipina singers amid the graceful estate, attendees were transported to the setting of a royal court with all its granduer. Kanstul donated a Herald Trumpet for the event to raise funds for the symphony—it was even used to herald in a beautiful Filipino traditional dance called “Rigodon de Honor.” The night was capped off with a very touching and emotional keynote address by the Vice President of the Philippinnes, the honorable Maria Leonar Gerona Robredo. Hats off to the FASO Board of Directors for this outstanding event and soon to become an annual extravaganza—one you will not want to miss!
