and VP Ron Griggs (right) at last May's ITG Conference in
Ft. Worth, Texas. August 21 2003 The system does work! Kanstul Musical Instruments would like to thank Mark and Michael Wolfram of Buffalo NY, and Sgt. Owens and Detective Moore from the Little Rock Police Dept. for helping us recover a stolen instrument. Long story short, Mark and Micheal provided clues and Sgt. Owens and Det. Moore acted quickly to retrieve a ZKT 1600 "WB" that was stolen from our booth at NABBA back in April of this year. Thanks also to Dave Rosen of Rosen Music who provided support as well. Great job guys! By the way, now that this horn has a "history" it's going to go fast... August 19 2003 Work has begun on yet more updates to the website, including the new Mouthpiece Comparator v2.0! It's slow going, but look for changes in the weeks and months ahead. We have added a link to our pricing, including our domestic pricelist (downloadable, in pdf format) and a FAQ page found here. August 16 2003 Weekends are good for getting things done here at the office, however we had a surprise guest on Saturday: Tim Morrison. Tim is a world-class soloist, recording artist, and master teacher, and his sound can be heard on many film soundtracks, including Saving Private Ryan. Spending the day with his son, they decided to stop by Kanstul and play trumpets for a while. It was our pleasure having Tim visit. August 4 2003 We've got Wayne! Well, we've got his CD in our showroom. For a limited time, we have autographed copies of Wayne Bergeron's solo CD entitled You Call This A Living? for only $15 dollars each. The show runs Sunday July 27 through Tuesday July 29 at the Henry Gonzales Convention Center in Downtown San Antonio. Stop by the booth and meet Vice President of Sales & Marketing Ron Griggs, and Kanstul Clinician Tim Wendt. And don't forget to bring your mouthpiece so you can try these amazing instruments! July 21 2003 Netscape users may have noticed that the Mouthpiece Comparator feature of the Kanstul website does not work properly. The reason is because the Comparator was optimized for earlier versions of Netscape (ver 4.0 and earlier) It seems that later versions view layers differently, and therefore may not "read" the comparator. We apologize for this and are working on improvments. July 16 2003 Mouthpiece Comparator updated with 23 new mouthpieces from our library. These are the Kanstul M Series Mouthpieces, designed for greater stability, constant pitch center and secure "slotting". July 15 2003 The annual summer inventory and vacation break is over and the plant has resumed operation. Factory tours are available daily from 7:30am until 3:30pm Monday through Friday. The convention/clinic will run from Sunday, July 27 through Tuesday, July 29. Kanstul will have nearly our full line of brasswinds on the booth, and encourage you to come by and try them.
